Both are stimulants (vasodilators) which increase blood flow, making you more sensitive & prone to bleeding or redness.
Waxing over sun damaged skin can lead to extreme irritation and skin lifting. Self tanners will be pulled off with the wax strip or will be blotchy if applied the day of your wax.
Certain active ingredients may cause skin lifting or extreme irritation. It is best to stop the use of these products prior to your wax.
Sweat, heat, & friction can open your pores, trap sweat/bacteria, and increase the likelyhood of post-wax irritation or bumps.
